Field experience:
Participation in many sea expeditions in the North European basin (1980, 1982, 1984, 1990, 1994), the Southern ocean (1986-1987) and the Arctic seas (1993, 1995, 1998, 2002-2004);
Participant during several years in airborne ice reconnaissance flights in the seas of the Siberian shelf and in work of hydrometeorological groups in the Arctic (1968-1972).


Research field
A sea ice, oceanology and climatology; a research of dynamics of a sea ice cover, polar oceanology and studying of variability of climate, a macrostructure of an ice cover, issues of the theory of turbulence, including a problem of cross processes, various aspects of small-scale and mesolarge-scale processes in polar oceans, the hydrological mode, a problem of dynamics of sea systems and also questions of interaction of hydrological, ice and meteorological processes in the Arctic seas and in general in the Arctic Ocean.
